Research cameras in Miami, Florida
This place is included in the directory using official population and geography data. Its 2025 population reference is 489,812. That population is used to select places for the directory; it is not the population inside our camera search circle. Check the official population source and geography reference.
Start with the local government's meeting agendas, procurement records and police technology pages. Search for “Miami FL ALPR”, “Miami license plate readers” and “Miami Flock Safety”. A proposal, contract or funding request does not by itself prove that a camera was installed. Check the document date, vendor, agency and whether it describes fixed or mobile readers.
Local records and context
Miami-Dade's 2022 Flock pilot authorization and Miami Beach's May 2026 event announcement describe different agencies and dates. Neither establishes the present operating status of every record in Miami's map circle or a City of Miami inventory.
Sources reviewed October 3, 2026. Review date is separate from the camera-data retrieval date.
- Miami-Dade: resolution R-997-22, file 222115 — adopted October 18, 2022; historical Flock pilot authorization, not current deployment proof; checked October 3, 2026
- Miami Beach: Memorial Day weekend announcement — May 14, 2026 announcement for May 23–24 operations; checked October 3, 2026; not an ongoing deployment schedule
Flock cameras in Miami: which agency, which date and which road? explains the documents and remaining questions.
FDOT’s August 31, 2026 memo revoked local law-enforcement LPR placement approvals on State Highway System rights-of-way and directed removal of covered devices. That scope does not establish whether an individual mapped camera is covered or has been removed. Read the FDOT memo.
If you find a missing or incorrect location, submit a correction with the source and approximate location. Use the camera identification guide before classifying a roadside device as an ALPR.
Where these figures come from
FlockDetour retrieved these public camera records on . The search uses a circle centered at 25.7617, -80.1918, with a radius of 10 miles (16.1 km). It is not the municipal boundary of Miami; surrounding communities can be included. Distances are straight-line distances from that reference point, not driving distances.
The snapshot includes records classified as ALPR and excludes records marked removed. Flock totals include only records explicitly attributed to Flock Safety. Other or unattributed records are kept separate. Speed, red-light and general traffic camera records are excluded from these totals. Split map queries are deduplicated by record ID before the radius filter is applied.
Sources include OpenStreetMap contributors and published datasets, with attribution and license details on our sources page. A retrieval date records when we read the database, not when someone inspected each camera. Records can be duplicated or inaccurate, and unmapped and mobile readers are outside this snapshot.
