What the map covers

202,898 active map records across camera and related device classes in the current dataset. This is not a count of Flock cameras. The map also includes other ALPR vendors, speed, red-light and traffic cameras, as well as separately classified audio sensors, with uneven coverage across the United States and Canada.

Latest recorded data import: . An import date does not mean every camera was checked on that date.

Locations come from OpenStreetMap contributors, public records and published research. Camera pins describe mapped devices; they do not provide live footage, license plate data or proof that a device is operating.

Flock cameras by state

Mapped license plate readers per state, counted October 4, 2026, with the number attributed to Flock Safety. Each state page lists its city maps and any agency transparency portals; portal figures come from a historical dataset collected July 2023 through April 2024. How we counted.

A missing state or agency does not mean there are no Flock cameras there.

Read the map before choosing a route

  1. Find your area. Search a city or street, or use the location button. Zoom in to see individual sites.
  2. Choose a layer. Flock Safety selects devices attributed to that vendor. Other ALPR selects plate-reader records from other or unknown vendors. All shows every included type.
  3. Inspect the record. Open a pin for its source, classification and available verification details. Compare it with current local records or your observations.
  4. Plan the trip. The web planner shows travel time and documented camera counts for available routes. The mobile apps add Pro navigation and camera-aware route modes.

Common questions

Where are Flock cameras near me?
Open the FlockDetour map, search your city or street, and choose the Flock Safety filter. You can also use the location button with your permission. Select a mapped site to inspect its source and available details. An empty area can mean cameras have not been documented.
Is the Flock camera map free?
Yes. FlockDetour's camera map is free on the web, iPhone and Android, with no account required. The website also offers route planning. Turn-by-turn navigation and the Balanced and Fewer cameras modes in the mobile apps require FlockDetour Pro. Check the store listing for current features and prices.
Are Flock cameras and ALPR cameras the same thing?
Flock Safety is a vendor. ALPR stands for automated license plate recognition, a technology used by multiple vendors. Flock Safety sells plate readers and other devices. Use the Flock Safety filter for the vendor's mapped devices, or Other ALPR for plate-reader records from other or unknown vendors. The total map count includes other camera types and related devices.
Can this map show my license plate or camera footage?
No. FlockDetour shows documented device locations and source information. It has no access to license plate searches, vehicle sightings or surveillance footage. FlockDetour is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Flock Safety.

FlockDetour reduces exposure to cameras documented in its current data. It cannot identify every camera, guarantee avoidance, replace traffic laws, or ensure a route is surveillance-free. Always follow posted signs and drive safely.
